Files: sendmailer-personalization-example.csv and this README.
The CSV contains two fictional contacts using reserved example.com addresses.
Use these records for a local preview exercise. Do not send email to them.

1. In Contacts, create and select a new list named Personalization example.
2. Import Contacts: open the CSV and select A1:C3, including the headers.
Choose Import Selected and answer Yes to the headers question.
3. Map E-mail. Add First Name and Company with
Map selected column and add to contact list. Confirm with OK.
4. Check that there are two contacts. If inactive, use
Selection > Select All > Activate and confirm the two selected contacts.
5. In Templates, create a named template, then choose Edit Template.
If offered a layout for the blank template, choose No for this exercise.
6. Open Contact List and double-click Personalization example.
Turn off Preview merged data while inserting the fields if it is on.
7. Build these two lines using Insert merge field for the bracketed parts:
   Hello <<First Name>>,
Here is the project update for <<Company>>.
Do not type the brackets as ordinary text: use actual merge fields.
8. Enable Preview merged data. Check First record and Next record:
Anna -> Hello Anna, / Northwind Demo
Mark -> Hello Mark, / Contoso Demo
9. Save and Close. Reopen the template to reuse its fields; select the
contact list again to preview data.

No SMTP account or campaign is needed for this exercise.
